Time to get with the modern world...

  • Cataract Water Level

    As of 6-28-09, Cataract Lake was still up several feet. However the water level has dropped a bunch. Cunot boat ramp is still under water but you can now see the upper parking lot at Cunot. The park ramp is under water also but you can actually drive down to the bottom of the hill now and launch your boat. It wont be long and the lake will be back to normal pool. (I Hope).

    • I have noticed some people are confused by the different names for the lake at Lieber State Park. The name is officially Cagles Mill. However most people call it Cataract, and this is the name it is most known for. This is because of the small community that is in the area of the lake. So if you hear us on this refer to the lake as Cataract or Cagles Mill, we are talking of the same thing.

      This is also the same for Raccoon Lake, the official name is Cecil M. Hardin Lake.

    • Both boat ramps are open as of last week. I know there has been a lot of rain but there has not been enough to shut down the boat ramps, YET!
