  • Indiana Lakes

The central Indiana lakes have been back down to normal for some time. The fishing has slowed in most lakes for a couple weeks, but I would be ready in September to get back out there and catch some Crappie. Around September and first of October, they will be on the prowl again. Good Luck to you all and if you want to become a member of a fast growing site go to (www.huntnfishindiana.com) then CLICK on the FORUM button on top of page and you can become a member of our FORUM for FREE. I think you will like it better than the BLOG.

  • Monroe Reservoir Water Conditions

Monroe Reservoir, is back to summer pool and water temp was between 76 and 80 degrees depending on time of day. I was trolling for Walleye last time I was there but didn’t get any. However I caught some Wipers and Catfish trolling with live bait rigs and crankbaits.
Good Luck and JOIN our site @ www.huntnfishindiana.com, or www.huntnfishindiana.ning.com

    Thanks,

  • Cataract Lake Conditions

At last check Cataract or Cagles Mill Lake was back to normal water level, and all ramps were usable. The water temp was between 75 and 81 degrees, depending on time of day. The fish are biting in the morning and evening. Middle of day is pretty slow. Also I was surprised to see that some White Crappie still had eggs in them. Good Luck to all!

  • Lake Monroe Water Level

As of 6-28-09, Lake Monroe was at normal Summer pool. The water temp was in the mid to high 80’s. As always on a weekend the lake was packed with boaters and fishermen alike. But as far as I could see all the ramps were open and easily launched from.

  • Cataract Water Level

As of 6-28-09, Cataract Lake was still up several feet. However the water level has dropped a bunch. Cunot boat ramp is still under water but you can now see the upper parking lot at Cunot. The park ramp is under water also but you can actually drive down to the bottom of the hill now and launch your boat. It wont be long and the lake will be back to normal pool. (I Hope).

  • Spring is here! or is it?

The last couple of days here in central Indiana have been beautiful. The birds are making noise, and some of my grass is getting greener. I hope this is not just some sick joke from Mother Nature. Anyway let’s all get outside and enjoy it while we can.

  • Indiaina Weather

If you don’t like the weather here in Indiana, then wait 5 minutes and it will change. I guess this is what I love about our state. However I went fishing a few days ago and I have been laid up in the house ever since. I have been sicker this time than any recent illnesses I have had. Today is the first day that I have felt good enough to actually get out of bed and eat. Maybe by March we can get out again and go fishing and not get sick, but who knows, I guess that is a chance we all take.
    Good Health to ALL

  • Cataract Lake!

I went to Cataract 2-17-09. I took my boat and was going to launch at Cunot Boat Ramp. Boy was I wrong, the water was up to the entrance road, it looked like it did back in June of 2008. I then went to the Park and we had to move High Water barricades to launch the boat. We finally got on the water, but the water level was very HIGH, and super Muddy. I tried everything in my arsenal to catch a fish, with exception of live bait. I only had 1 bite all day. Did not catch anything! Oh well, it was still better than going to work. Just thought I would tell you all before you venture out to go fishing.
